Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Food coloring optional
Instructions:
Warm your oven up to 350 F 175C and put paper liners in a cupcake tin
Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy
Mix the egg and vanilla extract into the flour mixture and beat it well
Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl
Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture slowly, mixing in the milk every so often
Don't mix any further than that
A few drops of food coloring can be added to the batter to make it any color you want
Fill each liner about two-thirds of the way to the top with cupcake batter in the cupcake pan that has been prepared
After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
Let the cupcakes cool for a few minutes in the pan, then move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down
When the cupcakes are completely cool, you can frost them and decorate them however you like
