The Hymn Project

For many years now I've wanted to arrange good solid Biblical hymns for the classical guitar. In December 2018, this project was started and as I was learning about copyrights and did not want to steal other people's work (Leviticus 19:11), it was taken down again. It was restarted in June 2021. Below you will find hymns arrangements for contemporary and traditional hymns. Some of these are for purchase (it was the only legal way around the copyright and I've tried to keep the prices reasonable).

Each piece is set in standard notation and standard notation/tabs*. There are some arrangements for the 8-string classical guitar with Brahms tuning (i.e. with a high A string), but most are for the 6-string classical (or steel string) guitar.

Also, you have two options to download. You download the PDF (which contains both versions) by simply clicking on the title of each piece or you can download from the MuseScore site. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for free. There's tons and tons of music there.

These can be played in your church, as an special or offertory hymn, or for home groups. Enjoy...

*Each piece is set in standard notation and standard notation/tabs. I prefer the sheet music without tabs. I also know that not everyone reads notation. So, you get two versions, one without tabs (for those who just want notation) and a version with tabs (for those who prefer a tabbed version).
